Independent Living

Independent Living is for the senior who wants to maintain a rich and rewarding life without the responsibilities of running a household.  At Sacred Heart Senior Living, you are given a maintenance-free lifestyle with a choice of floor plans.  

Included are three chef prepared meals daily in a family-style dining atmosphere, housekeeping and linen services, a variety of activities, exercise, wellness and life-enrichment programs, laundry facilities, scheduled transportation for shopping and outings, and much more.

Our retirement community is an ideal setting for active seniors who want to focus on the things most enjoyed in life, with the peace of mind that help is right there if ever needed..

Personal Care

Personal care residents are those who do not need skilled nursing care, but may need assistance with some aspects of daily life.  Our experienced professional staff is on duty twenty-four hours a day to support and guide our residents.

Types of care can include dressing and grooming, monitoring of health and medications, safety, overall well-being, coordination of outside health care providers, companionship, social and leisure activities, transportation, three meals with snacks and more.  

In-House Physical Therapy

Good Shepherd Rehabilitation is located on-site at Sacred Heart Senior Living for our residents’ convenience. Outpatient services offers  comprehensive, individualized rehabilitation programs for many diagnosis such as arthritis, deconditioning, dysphagia, movement disorders, joint replacement,  neurological disorders, back and shoulder pain,  orthopedic  injuries,  gait dysfunction, general weakness, post-surgical strengthening, sprains, strains, vertigo, vestibular issues and more.  Each treatment plan is developed with your goals and needs in mind.  Without leaving your home, you can receive physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy by experienced professionals on an individual basis with goal-focused treatments.  

Geriatrician Services 

Medical care is paramount at Sacred Heart Senior Living.  Both Communities offer the services of an in-house certified geriatrician.  Our geriatrician’s are board certified in both family medicine and internal medicine, and are specially qualified to distinguish between diseases and the effects of normal aging.  They practice a more holistic approach to treating elderly person’s medical conditions.  

Geriatric medical services are coordinated with our director of wellness ,therapists, nursing services, labs, and other physician’s you might still retain (such as your own primary care doctor or specialists).
